Kin Kub Ei is a family restaurant in Cherngtalay in Bangtao that takes ordinary local food and makes it taste extraordinary.
The restaurant’s name is a signature of Ei Sim (auntie Sim), an exceptional elderly lady chef. Her food is a fusion between local Phuket and Hakka Chinese food. Her cooking is so good that she is now listed in the Michelin Guide of the best restaurants in Phuket.
If you want to eat at Kin Kub Ei, keep in mind that it’s quite challenging to book a table. The restaurant opens only a few times per week. You can’t just show up without making a reservation because you will be very disappointed.
